The choir is a prototype for the ideal society, based on united efforts and a cohesive breath; a society in which it is important to hear to others and to listen to each other; a society in which individuality is not suppressed, but is fully revealed. — G. A. Struve
The academic choir Superius was founded in 2014. As well as classic Russian and foreign musical works, the choir has in its repertoire famous songs from Soviet films, foreign hits and folk songs arranged in a modern style. The audience at the choir’s concerts often sings along with the vocalists or supports them with loud applause.
The conductor of the group is a soloist from the choir ‘musicAeterna’, Anastasia Egorova, and the choirmaster is Yulia Lukina. Thanks to their devoted leadership and personal support, after only a year in action, Superius had already become a hallmark of the university.
The choir and its soloists are known not only in Perm, but also beyond the city. In one year the choir holds performances in more than 20 different concert halls. Superius was awarded with a diploma in the second degree at the city competition for vocalists and vocal ensembles ‘Romansiada 2015’.
